The artwork of Jacqueline consists of installations, wooden panels and paintings. Most of the materials used are of a basic simplicity and earthiness; clay, loam, natural pigments and rope, but also more “lofty” materials such as gemstones, gold leaf and silver leaf are applied. At first glance, her work appears to be very diverse, but the common denominator is the fascination and amazement for symbolism, the mystical and the spiritual. In this she is inspired by nature in the broadest sense of the word. Nature includes the human inner nature as well as the nature of the earth. Through her work Jacqueline tries to create the experience that these two seemingly different natures are one and the same. This is reflected in motifs of flowers, plants and trees, organic shapes and natural colors, as well as representations that symbolize the inner spiritual world of man. In the universal symbol that often returns in her work lies the image of that unity and dream image of creating a new, more beautiful world with more inspiration.
